The diver's speed is 1.4m/s.
Steps
1. Find time.
The equation for time based upon
distance is 2y/9.8m/s cubed. From this
we got 2.1 seconds.
2. Find speed or velocity.
The equation for velocity is d/t=v. From
this we got 1.4m/s.
