In solving inequalities, it is best to be observant of the signs. As these negative or positive signs will determine whether or not we will have to switch the inequality signs.

–2(3x + 2) > –8x + 6
-6x -4 > -8x +6
Transfer and combine like terms.
-6x + 8x > 6 + 4
2x > 10
x > 5

The final answer is 5. Using this solution, we didn't have to switch the inequality sign because we avoided the negative signs. hope this helps you have an amazing day/night
