B. character development
Character development is all about how a character is developed by the author throughout a piece of literature. Because Hamlet is a dynamic character, he changes. In order for the audience to see this change, his character must be developed in a way that the audience can easily see who Hamlet is as a character and the ways in which he changes.
Plot events are simple the things that happen in the play. The rising action is part of the plot line. It is the section of the story during which the main conflict becomes more complicated. Building suspense is simply wrong, like all the others. Hamlet's changes can cause suspense, but suspense is not the way Hamlet changes.
