First Amendment place limits on government power to restrict freedom of speech in the United States in order to protect people and the country.

Further Explanation:-

The constitution of United States strongly protects Freedom of Speech and Expression and it is also protected by the governmental restrictions under First Amendment of the constitution of United States as well as many state constitutions. The United States supreme court has set and recognized many categories of speech which are provided with relatively protection by the first Amendment and also has recognized that the governments may sometimes enact reasonable time and place to manner as well as restrictions related to the Speech. The first Amendment of the constitution of United States only prevents restrictions of the government on Speech and not on the restrictions which are imposed by Private individuals by the time they represent the side of the government. But, this amendment can deny the ability to the private businesses as well as individuals to not to stop freedom of speech for others. The first Amendment in the constitution of United States not only provides freedom of speech to its people but also protects the rights of its individuals to receive information.

The First Amendment places limits on government power to restrict freedom of speech in the United States "to protect the people and country." If we did not have such restrictions certain speech such as hate speeches would be allowed and then another right and law would be violated, that would be not to be discriminated against for race, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, vertan status, marital status, etc.
