BMI calculates tissue mass (such as: muscle, fat, bone)

The formula goes as shown :
BMI = (Weight in Pounds / (Height in inches x Height in inches)) x 703
or :
BMI = (Weight in Kilograms / (Height in Meters x Height in Meters))

BMI is calculated by weight and height. A BMI of 35 can be difficult to judge without knowing height and weight.

BMI is a measure which takes into account a person's weight and height to gauge total body fat. BMI is found by taking your weight (in kilograms) and dividing it by your height squared (in centimeters). A person with a BMI of 35 would be classified as obese. The Body Mass Index (BMI) calculates how much you should weigh based on your height. To determine a person's BMI first you multiply your weight in pounds by 703. Next you divide that answer by your height in inches. Last is dividing that answer by your height in inches again. A person with a BMI of 35 will fall under the category obese.
