The herders and farmers would be at the second to the bottom. The bottom would be slaves, above them were the farmers.

ANSWER: The social hierarchy in ancient Egypt had pharaoh at the top and herders and farmers at the bottom. The entire social hierarchy had a total of 7 positions. The pharaoh was at the top, the government officials, nobles and priests at the second place, soldiers at the third, scribes at the fourth, merchants at the fifth, craftsmen at the sixth and the farmers and herders at the seventh. A illustration is attached below to show the hierarchy pyramid of the society.
