y=\left | x \right |+3

Explanation:

Here we are given with the parent function as


y=\left | x \right |

as we are given that the point (1,1) is translated to (1,4)

Hence x remains the same but new y coordinate is 4

Hence

Y = 4

Y = 1+3

Y= y + 3


Y = \left | x \right |+3

Hence the equation of new function is


Y = \left | x \right |+3
