F=x-48 over 4x. I hope that is right :)

Answer:

f^(-1)(x)= 4x+48

Explanation:

the inverse of the function f(x) =1/4 x – 12

f(x)= (1)/(4) x-12

To find inverse do the following steps

Replace f(x) with y

y= (1)/(4) x-12

Replace x with y and y with x

x= (1)/(4)y-12

Solve for y

Add 12 on both sides

x+12= (1)/(4)y

Multiply both sides by 4

4(x+12)=y

Replace y with f^-1

f^(-1)(x)= 4x+48
