Translation
is an isometry that moves or maps every point of the plane in the same distance and direction. By flipping an object some of its points on the same place. The same holds for the rotation. Translating an object means that all of its points will be moved at the same distance and in the same direction. It is simply moving, without any rotation or resizing.
