How big is the desert where israelites wander for 40 years map?

Get a map that has Egypt and Israel on it. In between them, you'll see the Sinai Peninsula ... it looks like a triangle standing on one point. The Israelites' route after the Exodus is roughly from the upper left point of the triangle, down along the left edge almost to the bottom point, and then up the right edge and around the Dead Sea, to enter Israel from the East side of the Jordan River, near Jericho.
