Answer: 48.

Explanation:

Given : John is making himself a lunch.

The number of kinds of soups = 4

The number of kinds of soda = 4

The number of kinds of fruits = 3

Using the fundamental principal of counting , the number of different lunches can he prepare today is given by :-


4*4*3=48

Therefore, he can prepare 48 lunches today.
