Kendra bought a gallon of milk and of a pound of oranges. If the gallon of milk cost $3.60 and she spent a total of $4.35, which equation can be used to determine x, the cost of a pound of oranges?

Well, if she spent $4.35 altogether, all you need to do is subtract $3.60 from $4.35 and you've got your answer which is $0.75

3.60+5/6 x = 4.35 will give the correct answer of 0.75
