a + 8/3 - 2/3 =
? = 0

2 ÷ 3 = 0.67
2/3 = 0.67

a + 8/3 - 2/3 = ?
? = 0

8 ÷ 3 = 2.67
8/3 = 2.67

a + 8/3 - 2/÷ = ?
? = 0

a(3) / 3

3(a) + 8 / 3

3(a) + 6 / 3
We get "6" we added 3a + 3 & that gives you 6

3(a) + 6

a + 2 = 0
-2. -2
----- ----
0a. -2

a - 2 = 0

0 - (-2) = -2

Therefore your answer would have to be: "a =-2" (option 2)
