Right off the bat, we know that option D is incorrect because conflict is not a stage of plot (Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, Resolution) In this excerpt, we can see a conflict resolved, pointed out by the mother when she states "... You practiced so long to make this happen". This must be the resolution because characters and conflict have already been introduced (exposition and rising action), the competition (most likely the most exciting part of the story) already happened. Falling action (which leads to the solution of the story) is not even an option here because we already know the end of the conflict. Therefore, your best answer is option A.
