until a train is a safe distance from the station it must travel at 5m/s. once the train is on open track it can speed up to 45m/s. if it takes the train 8 seconds to reach 45m/s what is the acceleration of the train ?

the answer would be B) 5 m/s^2. 45 m/s-5 m/s= 40 m/s so then 40 m/s divided by 8 s would be equal to 5 m/s^2
