U can just find the slope. From B to A it is up 8 and 3 to the right. So 8/3 which is 2.6 rounded. The answer is C

The distance between point A and point B in the graph is approximately 8.54.

The correct option is D) 8.54.

The distance formula is expressed as:

Distance = √((x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2)

From the graph,

Point A: (2,5)

x₁ = 2

y₁ = 5

Point B: (-1,-3)

x₂ = -1

y₂ = -3

Plug the given coordinates into the above formula and solve for the distance.

Distance = √((x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2)\\\\Distance = √((-1 - 2)^2 + (-3-5)^2)\\\\Distance = √((-3)^2 + (-8)^2)\\\\Distance = √(9 + 64)\\\\Distance = √(73)\\\\Distance = 8.54

Therefore, the distance between the two points is 8.54 units.

Option D) 8.54 is the correct answer.
