Area of DBE = unknown
the length of BA = 2 units
the length of BD = 6 units
Solving the ratio of BA and BD, we have:
ratio = 2 / 6 = 1 / 3
We can say that the area od BDE is enlarged by a ratio of three such as:
Area of ABC / Area of DBE = 1 /3
3 / Area of DBE = 1 /3, perform cross multiplication such as:
Area of DBE = 3*3
Area of DBE = 9 units²
