ABCDE is formed by two triangles. We simply need to get the area of each triangle and add it up to get the area of ABCDE.

Area of a triangle = (height*base) / 2

Area of the Right triangle = (12cm * 4cm)/2 = 48cm² / 2 = 24 cm²

Area of the triangle = (2cm * 6cm)/2 = 12cm² / 2 = 6 cm²

Total area of ABCDE = 24 cm² + 6 cm² = 30 cm²
