Exercising is hard, and it most definitely is a struggle. I know because I go to the gym regularly. Now the main reason that exercise is so unpopular is because it is misunderstood. People think they have to do a certain exercise to get stronger. For example some people hate doing push ups but think it is very important. Now this is a very big misconception, and my trainer cleared this up with me. There are hundreds of exercises, and that means that you are free to choose which ones you like to suit your likes and dislikes, as well as your strengths and weaknesses. Another reason that exercising is very discouraging to people is because they think that it needs to be an every day thing. In fact, it is preferred to do it like 4-5 days a week. It is not a problem to do it every day, but that will not increase your strength or chances of gaining much. Also, exercising is discouraging because people might feel that they are not good at it. The best way to get out of that is to try it with your friends, or listen to music or anything else that might make you feel in a hyped mood. It will not only spur your motivation, but also make you come to look forward to exercising.
