Answer:

f^-1(x) = x/4+3

Explanation:

To get the inverse of the function

f(x)=4x-12

Lets make y = f(x), the function in terms of y will become;

y = 4x-12

To find the inverse of the function, we will make x the subject of the formula to have;

y+12 = 4x

Dividing both sides by 4 gives;

y+12/4 = x

x = y/4+12/4

x = y/4+3

The value of x gotten will be the inverse of the given function by replacing variable y in the function with x i.e

f^-1(x) = x/4+3
