Without the Nile there would certainly not have been the Egypt we know, nor without the almost complete desertification of northern Africa from the sixth to the fourth millennia BCE.

Answer:

If the Nile River did not flood annually in Egypt Civilization there wouldn't have been any civilization exist that we know of. The flooding of the Nile provided the narrow strip of land on each side of the river with remarkably fertile land. Rigorous agriculture was followed by a large number of the peasant group. As the floodwaters subsided, farming began, the floods provided the sole source of moisture needed to maintain crops.
