Answer: 4

Explanation:

Given equation:
3^(2x+1)=3^(x+5)

\text{Here bases of the exponents are same therefore, the powers must be equal.}\\\Rightarrow2x+1=x+5\\\text{Subtract x from both the sides , we get}\\\Rightarrow2x+1-x=x+5-x\\\Rightarrow\ x+1=5\\\text{Subtract 1 from both sides, we get}\Rightarrow\ x+1-1=5-1\\\Rightarrow\ x=4

Therefore, the value of x= 4.
