First, we have to set up the problem like this:

y=-5\cdot \:0^2-11\cdot \:0-2
There's a rule that says:
0^a=0
We are going to use that.
Apply the rule...

y=-0\cdot \:5-0\cdot \:11-2
Multiply...

y=-0-0\cdot \:11-2
Multiply again...

y=-0-0-2
Subtract.

y=-2

We have found the y-intercept.
Have a nice day! :)
