The graph of a line has a slope of 3 and passes through the point (–4, –5). What is the equation of the line in point-slope form?

y – 4 = 3(x – 5)

y + 4 = 3(x + 5)

y – 5 = 3(x – 4)

y + 5 = 3(x + 4)

y + 5 = 3(x + 4)
Because in point-slope format, it is: y-(y-value) = m (x-(x-value)), where m=slope, and the point: (-4,-5) can be written as: (x-value,y-value),
So y - -5 = 3 (x - -4)
