Salmon begin life in freshwater streams. As they mature, they swim towards the ocean to spawn. They must change physically over several months before they reach the ocean in order to be able to survive there.

Not sure what your asking but, "Before entering the ocean, salmon must change their osmoregulation process, undergoing physical adaptations of their gills and kidneys that help build a tolerance for salt water".
