Answer: TRUE , water is a polar molecule, it has a slightly positive side and a slightly negative side.

Explanation: Water is polar molecule , term polar means it has positive and negative sides. Polarity of water is because of its bent shape. H2O has 10 protons and 10 electrons. In water unequal sharing of electrons takes place because oxygen attracts electrons more strongly in compare to the two hydrogen atoms. Because of this unequal sharing of electrons water has slightly positive charge at hydrogen atoms and slightly negative charge at oxygen atom.

It is TRUE that water is a polar molecule because it has a slightly positive side and a slightly negative side.

To add, when a covalently bonded molecule has more electrons in one area than another, it is called a polar molecule, and water has a covalently bonded molecule.
