There are two different types of hard water..Temporary hard water and
Permanent hard water.
Temporary hard water
contains bicarbonate of calcium and magnesium.
The bicarbonate are soluble in the hard water produce corresponding ions.
Permanent hard water
contains chlorides or sulphates of calcium or magnesium.
