use substitution to find out

x=2
y=3

so
3=3(2)-4
3=6-4
3≠2

no, this point does NOT lie on the graph of y=3x-4

Answer:

(2,3) does not lie on the graph of y=3x-4

Explanation:

For any point to lie on the graph of a function it must satisfy the function.

So, (2,3) lies on the graph of function y=3x-4 if it satisfies it

i.e. at x=2 ,y=3

Putting x=2 in y=3x-4,we get

y=3×2-4

=6-4

=2

Hence, when x=2,y≠3

so, (2,3) does not lie on the graph of y=3x-4
