hello :
y = –2x – 1....(1)
y = 3x–1.....(2)
by (1) and (2) : 3x-1 = -2x-1
5x =0
x =0 ....(the x-coordinates of the solutions)

Answer:

The x coordinate of the solution is 0

Explanation:

y = –2x – 1 and y = 3x–1

Solve for x using substitution method

Replace y with -2x-1 in second equation

-2x-1 = 3x-1

Add 2x from both sides

-1= 5x - 1

add 1 on both sides

0=5x

Divide by 5 from both sides

x=0

The x coordinate of the solution is 0
