Answer: By using SAS postulate of congruence , we can prove
\triangle{ABD} and
\triangle{ACD} are congruent.

Explanation:

In the given figure we have two triangles
\triangle{ABD} and
\triangle{ACD} having one common side AD.

Also,
\angle{BAD}\cong\angle{CAD} [given]

\overline{AB}\cong\overline{AC} [given]

\overline{AD}\cong\overline{AD} [common]

Hence, by SAS postulate of congruence , we have

\triangle{ABD}\cong\triangle{ACD}

  • SAS postulate of congruence says that if two sides and the included angle of a triangle are congruent to two sides and the included angle of other triangle then the two triangles are said to be congruent.
