4(x + 3) ≤ 0 OR 1/4(x+ 1) > 3

4(x + 3) ≤ 0

Simplify.

4x + 12 ≤ 0

Subtract 12 from both sides.

4x ≤ -12

Divide both sides by 4.

x ≤ - 3

1/4(x + 1) > 3

Simplify.

1/4x + 1/4 > 3

Subtract 1/4 from both sides.

1/4x > 3 - 1/4

Simplify.

1/4x > 2 3/4

Multiply both sides by 4.

x > 11/4 × 4

Simplify.

x > 11

So, our first equation had x ≤ -3 and our second equation had x > 11

Which one is greater?

x > 11 is greater

~Hope I helped!~
