Here is a linear equation: y = 2/3x + 1 Are (6, 5) and (9, 8) solutions to the equation? Explain or show your reasoning.

5=2/3(6)+1, 5=12/3+1, 5=4+1, 5=5 | 8=2/3(9)+1, 8=18/3+1, 8=6+1, 8≠7. Thé second one is incorrect but the first one is correct because if you plug in the x and y that is what you would get.
