Explanation:

Since the Excluded values are the values that will make the denominator of a fraction equal to 0.

Because when the denominator of a rational function equals to zero it makes it infinite.

This is why we always exclude the value from the function.

Here The given expression,


((x-4)^2)/((x-9)^2)

Thus, for excluded value,


(x-9)^2 = 0

⇒ x - 9 = 0 ( by taking the square root on both sides)

⇒ x = 9 ( by adding 9 on both sides )

Thus, 9 is the excluded value for the given function.
