Genre refers to categories of texts that are recognizable to readers and writers and that meet the needs of the rhetorical situation in which they function.

Different Genres will provide a different experience for the readers because each genre tend to put more point on different emotions. For example, comedy genre will focus on bringing fun/happy emotion, thriller genre tend to focus on serious and exciting emotion, etc
