Hey,

So, what you do is you Multiply the GCF of the numerical part 3 and the GCF of the variable part x^2y to get
3x^2y.

Hope I helped!

Have a great Day!

ANSWER

5 {x}^(2) y

Step-by-step explanation

The first expression is

15 {x}^(2) {y}^(3)

This can be rewritten as

3 * 5 * {x}^(2) * x * {y}^(2) * y

The second expression is

- 20 {x}^(3) yz

This can also be rewritten as,

= - {2}^(2) * 5 * {x}^(2) * x * y * z

The greatest common factors are;

5 * {x}^(2) * y = 5 {x}^(2) y
