The Nutrition Facts label is a label on a packaged food.It gives detailed information about the nutrition content. The first thing written in the Nutrition Facts label is the serving size - the goal is better comparison between similar foods. Then the amount of calories is given . Calories provide a measure how much energy you will get from a serving of that food. And then several nutrients are listed : Fat, Cholesterol,Sodium, Carbohydrates,Proteins, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Iron... All of the nutrients are followed with their % Daily Values (%DVs) . The daily values are based on the Daily Value recommendations for key nutrients for a 2,000 - 2.500 calorie daily diet.
