This is easy. you move the decimal so there is one non-zero digit to the left of the decimal point. The number of decimal places you move will be on the exponet of 10. If the decimal is being moved to the right, the exponet will be negative. If the decimal is being moved to the left, the exponet will be positive.

In this case you are moving to the left so it's positive.

The answer will be ' 1.43 × 10^9 '
