if the diameter of a sphere is 2 meters, its radius is half that, or 2/2 just 1

now
\bf \textit{surface area of a sphere}\\\\ S=4\pi r^2\qquad \begin{cases} r=radius\\ ------\\ r=1 \end{cases}\implies S=4\cdot \pi \cdot 1^2
