We want the 3rd term so we plug in 3 into the formula.
T(3) = 3^2 + 4
T(3) = 9 + 4
T(3) = 13
So, the 3rd term is 13.

If n2 is n^2, then simply plug in 3 as n. After all, you are looking for the 3rd term. 3^2+4 would be 13.
