12-6x>24\\Subtract\ 12\\\\ 12-6x+(-12)>24+(-12)\\-6x>12\\Divide\ by\ -6\\\\(-6x)/(-6)>(12)/(-6)\\x<-2\\(The\ direction\ of\ the\ sign\ is\ reversed\ because\ you're\ dividing\ by\ a\ negative\ number.)

Thus, your answer is x < -2.

move the 12 over

-6x > 12
divide by -6, and you must flip the sign since you are dividing by a negative number

x< - 2
