Iron (fe) reacts with copper sulfate (CuSO4) to form iron (ll) sulfate. In this reaction, Cu2+ gains electrons to form Cu. Which statement is true about this reaction ? Fe(s) + CuSO4 (aq) > FeSO4(aq) + Cu(s)

This is a redox reaction.

Cu²⁺ + 2e⁻ = Cu⁰ copper is the oxidizing agent
Fe⁰ - 2e⁻ = Fe²⁺ iron is the reducing agent
