I need help badly... consider the rectangular prism with a length 3 cm, width 6 cm, and height 10 cm. If one of the dimensions is tripled what will happen to the volume? Justify your response.

tripled
original volume 3*6*10=180

it doesnt matter which is tripled

Answer:

Volume becomes 3 times of original volume .

Explanation:

Length of rectangular prism = 3 cm

Width of rectangular prism = 6 cm

Height of rectangular prism = 10 cm

Volume of rectangular prism =
Length * Breadth * Height

=
3 * 6 * 10

=
180 cm^3

Now one of the dimensions is tripled i.e. one of the dimensions becomes 3 times

So, Volume of rectangular prism =
3 * 3 * 6 * 10

=
3(180)

=
540 cm^3

Hence one of the dimensions is tripled Volume becomes 3 times of original volume .
