What's the simplified form of 2x + 3 − x+ 5? 

A. 3x + 8   B. x + 8   C. x − 8   D. x − 2

I think the correct answer would be B. x+ 8.

Explanation-- simplified form means the answer to its simplest so you have to combine like terms 2x and -x are like terms so you combine them you get 1x or x and then you have to combine +3 and +5 you get +8 now but them together you would get x+8.
