Avogadro's number is 6.02 x 1023 atoms. So, 6.02 x 1023 atoms of sodium would have a mass of 23 g (sodium's relative atomic mass).

conversions to use:

1 mol= 6.02 x 10²³ atoms

we need the molar mass of Na which can be found in the periodic table--> 23.0 g/mol

23 g Na (1 mol)/(23.0 g) x (6.02 x 10^(23) atoms)/(1 mol) = 6.02 x 10^(23) atoms
