A unicellular microorganism was recovered from a hot spring (95oc) in wyoming. the cells lack a nucleus, have a cell wall that lacks peptidoglycan, and have 70s ribosomes. analysis of the plasma membrane reveals that the lipids contain long-chained branched hydrocarbons with ether linkages. please choose the group in which this organism would be classified, based on the description provided.

The organism belongs to the class Archea, which is a domain and kingdom of single-celled organisms, which lack a nucleus, peptidoglycan layer in the membrane, and bears 70s ribosomes. Archea are prokaryotic and are different from bacteria and eukaryotic organisms.
