The examples of epic simile contained in the excerpt are "
honey smooth
" and
"the sweet scent hovered like a fume over the wine bowl"
. A simile is a comparison of two things which added more meaning to those things when it combined. "Honey Smooth" was written to describe the object's condition which is as smooth as honey. "The sweet scent hovered like a fume over the wine bowl" was written to compare the similarity between both of those things.
