Answer: $0.10

Explanation:

Given : The current cost of gasoline is $3.10 per gallon.

Jeanie's car averages 32 miles per gallon.

i.e. The gallons of gasoline required for 32 miles = 1 gallon

Then , the gallons of gasoline required for 1 mile=
(1)/(32) gallons

Now, the cost for each mile will be :-


(1)/(32)*3.10=0.096875\approx0.10\ \  \text{(To the nearest cent)}

Hence, the cost per mile =$0.10
