Assuming that their arms and bodies are completely flexible :)

π=circumference/diameter

π=C/d so

d=C/π

We are to assume that 5'6"+6' is equal to the circumference so

d=(5.5+6)/π

d=11.5/π ft

d≈3.66 ft (to nearest hundredth of a foot)
