Answer:

x=(2\pm√(76))/(-6)

Explanation:

Given : Equation
-3x^2-2x+6=0

To find : The correct substitution of the the values a, b, and c from the equation into quadratic formula?

Solution :

The general form of the quadratic equation is
ax^2+bx+c=0

Where, a is the coefficient of
x^2

b is the coefficient of x

c is the constant term.

On comparing with
-3x^2-2x+6=0

a=-3 , b=-2 , c=6

The quadratic formula of the quadratic equation is given by,

x=(-b\pm√(b^2-4ac))/(2a)

Substituting the values,

x=(-(-2)\pm√((-2)^2-4(-3)(6)))/(2(-3))

x=(2\pm√(4+72))/(-6)

x=(2\pm√(76))/(-6)

So, The required formula which shows the correct substitution of the values.
