How many different five-card hands are there from a standard deck of 52 playing cards?

In predicting the number of ways, there are two methods in probability; combination and permutation. Combination do not care what order it may be whereas permutation cares about the order. In this problem, we can use combination because the grouping of 5 cards is not restricted on what type of cards are to be inn this group. Use the equation:

C = n! / k! (n-k)!
C = 52! / 5! (52 - 5)!
C = 2,598,960
